Description: |
Circular bronze disc plaque decorated in low relief, depicting Gilgamesh - Master of the Animals, depicted with a long pointed beard and round eyes. Holding an ibex upside-down in each hand, by their rear legs, outer beaded border. Cleaned to reveal details, having a black surface patina with a few scattered spots of blue-green on the reverse. Some losses around the outer border and a small hole above his right foot. |
