Description: |
Ntomo society initiation mask carved of wood with typical tall comb headdress and applied with hammered and cut aluminum appliques and strips. Two raised bosses also appear below comb extension, and abstract face with four eyeholes, square mouth, and long nasal ridge covered with cut and chased aluminum detail. Dark brown-black smooth patina on wood. Few elements lightly crushed.
