Description: |
Fine orangeware solid pottery standing figure, depicted with very expressive facial features, wide narrow eyes, angular nose, and toothy mouth with parted lips. Wearing small ear ornaments and having a central striated hair tuft highlighted with red pigment. Swollen stomach and full rounded hips. Overall scattered traces of white surface pigment, and fingers highlight with red pigment. Scattered strong mineral deposits on the surface. Head cleanly reattached, otherwise intact. A high quality example. Custom metal base. |
