Salmon color pottery standing figure, depicted with very natural realistic anatomy and features. Broad shoulders, arms held away from sides, plump round belly, slightly bent knees, beautifully incised full, cropped hairdo. Very expressive facial features, mouth open as if singing, showing teeth. Wearing below the knee, fancy leggings. Overall scattered remaining white surface pigment. Cleanly repaired from seven original pieces with break lines left visible. Missing fingers on both hands. A superior example. Old custom lucite base. |
