Description: |
Double lobe pottery bottle, having twin drum shaped lobes paint black on cream with zigzag and linear decoration on both sides. A figure stands on the front lobe, holding both hands on his hips, and wearing a broad collar and twin peaked headdress. The spout and figure are leaning backwards due to over firing in the kiln, sometimes referred to as a “fiasco”. Overall scattered surface deposits. Upper portion of the spout is reattached. |
