Salmon color hollow molded pottery, depicting the head of a dignitary, wearing a fancy crescent type headdress with a large frontice piece of crescent form with scroliate tips and disc ear ornaments. Some remaining painted white and black highlights and details. Socket type neck. Scattered mineral deposits and root marks on the surface. Left side of the frontice piece reattached, and some normal scattered paint wear, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond. A rare type. |
