| Description: |
Cast bronze Buddha standing on top of an integral oval lotus blossom base. Tightly knotted hairdo, looking slightly downwards. Wearing a layered floor length drapery garment. His left arm raised to his stomach with open palm facing upwards and right arm held to his side with his open palm facing forward, teaching mudra. Overall crusty blue-green surface patina with a few scattered traces of the original gilding, and scattered encrustation. Some ancient loss to the rear portion of the base and lower base border, and tips of three fingers. A nice early example. |
