Carved translucent smoky gray-white onyx stone mask, having nicely drilled and relief carved facial features, arched brows, recessed eyes, angular nose with deeply drilled nostrils, parted lips, lug ears. Overall nice ancient surface patina. Biconical drilled attachment holes. Natural uncarved reverse and upper rim. Intact. Heye Museum # painted on reverse: 4/6275. Old velvet covered wall mount. Additionally marked R84-62. |
