| Description: |
Carved gray basalt large standing male figure, holding his left arm in a forward position, with clenched fingers, drilled through the center for holding a ceremonial staff or implement. Deeply recessed eyes and refined facial features, tab type ears with carved angular details, drilled perforated ear lobes. Wearing a belt, knotted in the front. Excellent ancient surface patina with scattered deposits. Missing his feet and right forearm, right leg reattached with old restoration over the break lines. A very nice example. Old custom metal base. |
