| Description: |
Camelid wool woven rectangular apron panel, colored with natural dyes, having an overall zigzag design with upper and lower wide multicolor banded border. The design is perhaps representative of the zigzag canal watering system used in the Andes from ancient times up to the present day. Multicolor long string ties at both ends. Some minor scattered imperfections, otherwise overall exc. cond. Sewn to a burlap backing on a wooden stretcher. A very nice example. |
